Questions, with straight answers
If your question is not here, put it in the enquiry and we will answer it when we call you back.
How does the fixed price actually work?
We see the job first, in person or from photos. Then we give you one written figure covering the crew, the lifting, the building logistics, every disposal fee and the sweep-up. That figure is agreed before we start and it does not change on the day. The only thing that moves a fixed price is you adding to the job. The long version is in our pricing guide.
Why is there no price list on this site?
Because a price named before seeing a job is a guess, and guesses get revised upward on your driveway. Pricing sight unseen is exactly what we think is wrong with this trade. We look, then we commit.
How do I reach you?
Through the enquiry form, while our phone line is being set up. Send it any hour; we ring you back to talk the job through, answer questions and arrange the look-and-price. You will always speak to a person before anything is booked.
Can you do it today?
Same-day is an offer we make when the truck and the day allow it, not a promise printed on a website. Tell us your deadline in the enquiry: vacate dates, settlement days and delivery clashes are the rhythms we plan around every week.
What do you take?
General household junk, furniture, white goods, e-waste, mattresses, green waste, renovation strip-out material, office and showroom clearances, single items. If it is in a home or a small business and it is not hazardous, we take it. The services page has the full ledger.
What will you refuse?
Asbestos, liquid and chemical waste, gas bottles and clinical waste. Those need licensed specialist handling, and any general crew that shrugs and takes them is cutting a corner you do not want cut. Household chemicals and paint go free to a Chemical CleanOut event or the Community Recycling Centre in Artarmon; we will point you right.
Do you really donate things?
Yes, and it is a judgement, not a slogan: clean, complete, still-useful things are offered to charity before anything is called rubbish. What charities cannot take gets recycled where a stream exists. We will not quote you a recycling percentage, because we do not audit one; here is what we do instead.
My building has rules about moving things. Is that a problem?
It is our home ground. We contact your building manager before the day, book and pad the lift, work to the dock window and protect the common areas. You do not need to negotiate any of that yourself. How building pickups run.
Should I just use the free council clean-up?
If your job fits its rules and its calendar, yes, and we say so in writing: our honest guide to the Willoughby scheme. We are for the jobs the kerb cannot do: bigger, sooner, from inside the house, or needing proper streams.
How does the estate work differ?
It is slower, quieter and led by the family. Sentimental and valuable things are set aside before any clearing starts, donation runs first, and there is no countdown on our side. It has its own page, written for the family member doing the searching, and you will find no price talk on it.
Do I need to be home?
No. A large share of our jobs are coordinated by phone by someone in another suburb: adult children organising a parent's downsize, executors interstate, tenants who have already moved. Decisions in writing, photos before and after, keys returned to whoever should hold them.
What areas do you cover?
Chatswood and the suburbs touching it: Artarmon, Willoughby, North Willoughby, Roseville, Lane Cove North, Chatswood West, Castlecrag and St Leonards. The areas page has the detail, street by street.
Tell us what goes. We do the rest.
Send the form and we ring you back to arrange a look at the job. The price is fixed on sight, agreed before we lift a thing, and it covers the lifting, the loading, the sweep-up and the disposal.
- One fixed price, agreed before we start. No hourly rate, no tip fees added later.
- One visit for most jobs, booked at a time that suits your building or your street.
- Worthwhile things offered for donation first. Regulated streams go to licensed facilities.
