Our patch is small on purpose: Chatswood and the suburbs that touch it. Small enough that we know which buildings want the dock booked, which streets have no room for a skip, and which garages have been filling since the eighties.

One practical note: this patch crosses council lines. Willoughby, Ku-ring-gai and Lane Cove councils each run their own free bulky-waste scheme with different limits and booking rules, so when we talk you through the free option first, we bring the rules for your street, not a generic answer.
